The paper will analyse the different phases of the development of the network, underlining the main strengths and the critical aspects related to the role that it assumed in promoting a new vision for the transformation of the neighbourhood. It will especially focus on the role that Mapping San Siro - Politecnico of Milan action-research group - played in the creation and progression of the network, particularly in relation to the involvement of the institutional actors and in the governance of the network.
